Taking Form

Calling to the Mossy Oak

Words that curl by sooty smoke

Fires crack and spark so high

"I have a form to take this night.

From darkness, blood, and tears

She comes out of their fears

And laughing she ages expresses

The lustful sin her smile caresses.

So take the form and don't delay!

Her family is coming home today!"

I trailed

through the mud

making you

with that

to say

Ran them

the wash,

so you

Light is bleeding

shadows oozing out on th efloor

in shapes of long forgottens

and mystical maybes

It's s tempting slice

but the glint won't sparkle tonight

hasn't had the flash since

several years past now

Instead the quaking is silent

a trembling under a gelatin exterior

just a wiggle at the lips

and nothing harmed to sight

Shawn's Kite

And he’s flying now

Like a kite wound on a string

Skipping back down before shoving up

On a rollercoaster of a breeze

Flimsy bit of wrapping

Over a fiery hot coal

Full steam ahead

Unless the cold is too much to bare

Now he’s running down the track

Talking of cars and girls that are laughing

The happiness makes him sad

So he pops a few pills and sleeps

Rambling euphoria al...

Tendril Knot

Trickles tickle along the spine

In fingers walking without form

Over skin heating in the cold

Ethereal shadows taking hold.

The thought, the emotions

The chill of another in mind

Sometimes the thought is enough

Sometimes the grip is a rebuff.

Myriad of colors kaleidoscoping

Forming scenes of another reality

Words forming in the distance

Making feet go right to restless.

There tugs...

Back to the Machine.

There is magic in the digital

Words swirling paths from fingers to hearts

Whispered lies and tender secrets

And anger over every hurt

Eyes scan the lines for entrance

For doors that lead to garden space

Where the flesh eating plants are all sleeping

And roses break through the snow in their place

Where the cogs of the machine are turning

And we oil it with our hands at play

Our souls overjoyed at the bleedin...

Walking the Night

Dark is descending

like good whiskey down the maw

sliding and soothing the ache

of a life lived in vain among the days.

Glittering lights draining spark

little spots in the blanket of night

and the chill feels like home

even though the fire there burns.

Feet find threshold to step

fingers gripping the air in a fist

anger making all else numb

it is done...

The snow is falling in summer.

With tendril feathers floating down

And the breath of chill upon the shoulders

Of little blonde haired girls

With jealousy’s eyes.

In the story of time,

TOTR: The Stars

I am moving at the speed of heat and sound

A star-crossed toss across the ages in slow motion

At war with gravity itself.

Sustained with the dew of a morning lily

And the caress of the shadows in their waning

I become sentient to the affairs of the yawing.

The grinding crush of the wheel

Against a once sharp Damascus edge

To blunt the t...

Powdered Glass Plates

I can see it gleaming in their eyes

the hatred, the lies, the fool's errand

of something they want to call peace

and they gift wrap it to you in spades

And we unwrap it

think ourselves rich and loved

think ourselves some kind of wonderful

because we have these legions

this plague of two-faced demons at our side

glorifying our empty lives.

And I revolt and shout

I cry out against them all

I ...
