My feet dance in the sand of a tribal drum beat

Like a Tahitian ceremony

I ritualistically return to the natural sounds of my people

Spirits call from the after-life speaking truths

Prophets sharing visions of history to the disconnected

A reminder of what was, and is, and always will be

A line of stars forever guiding

An alignment of energy awaiting release

An imprisoned Chinese fable of demonic inception

Speak Truths And Never Doubt…..Ur Position……S.T.A.N.D. U.P.!

I think it’s harder to try to fit in, than it is to be a martyr for what you truly believe in

Let me say that again

I think it’s harder to try to fit in, than it is to be a martyr for what you truly believe in

So persecute me in the name of free speech

Throw the rocks of your verbal abuse

Lash at my skin with the words from your ...

A Lasting Impression

I see the world as clay

With imperfections in need of attention

As a work of art, yet to be molded waiting to take shape

I see my hands as a vessel

My mind sketches a rough draft that was inspired by my heart

My mouth is like a tool chest

With words and inflexions not limited to structure

With stories and metaphors

With truth and fiction

I see a way to leave an impression

Not like the footprint in the sa...

Jade Row

A relationship off to a jaded start throws a dart headed to bulls-eye the end game

A jaded stone is not appealing to the eye

A jaded soul appears as the apple no one likes

No one wants a taste of bitterness

The retched sour twist of a spiteful heart

So when you are losing hope

Remember your dreams

Those dreams of happily ever-afters

Dreams of waking up every morning with a lover’s sight

Staring into your l...

I Broke A Heart

I broke a heart

Not like a oops I?m sorry can I massage that better for you type of, broken heart

Not like a oops I?m sorry was that offensive

And I would be forgiven after an apology, broken heart

I?m talking about the real deal

The kind that when the words I spoke left my lips

I could never take them back

The kind that when those words hit

They were more destructive then an Armageddon comet and I think her heart stopped beating

The kind...

Iconic Barrier

Iconic Barrier

It’s the era of the Icon

With little pictures

Depicting a representation ofthe person hiding behind

It’s a small 1 inch by 1 inch squared image

Ranging from:

Fantasy Dreams

Artistic Illusions

Natural Beauty

Pictures obscene

Cartoon characters

Anything religious

And my personal favorite

The…“I’m only ...

A Living Expenditure

Painted gracefully with calligraphy strokes

Pale pastels accentuate the spirit of art

The texture of dried oils emphasize

While abstract images breathe anxiously for interpretation

Its proof that a dying art

Still lives

A redemption of Michelangelo

An acknowledgment of Da Vinci’s third eye

As vividly creative pictures are conceptualized then painted in literary form

Welcome to Addiction

Welcome to Addiction

It’s a silent killer on a scale that turns cancer into child’s play

Never foreseen

And rarely acknowledged

Drug addiction plagues millions of lives

It enslaves minds through craves that decay brains

Tricking the infected

Quick-fixes become one tracked objectives

So I find myself asking

What influences a person down the path of addiction?

Refracted Image

Through the looking glass the mirror duplicates my image

Unhappy with what I see

I begin to bend its endless repetition

As I fold creases until a pyramid is formed

And all I can see is what was once me distorted with the refracted colors of the rainbow

But the reflection in this prism is a prison within itself

My light is trapped inside

While my thoug...

Humans gaze at the stars

But do the stars gaze back?

And if they do

What does a star see?!

Above us with their birds eye view

Using our sky

As a magnifying glass amplifying actions of our daily tasks

Centuries pass

As they continually watch the deceiving ways people manipulate

The wars, pain, lies, and hate

They can’t be blamed for wanting...
