So many suffer in silence
Feeling the fear of being lone
In a world where individualism
Has become all too desirable
We no longer clearly see ourselves
As a part of a whole human race
Yet each of us unique, do share a bond
Within the love of friends or family
When all appears to be lost and forlorn
Know that somewhere in time and distance
Each one of us is seen and recognized

Sand shifts to the bottom of the hourglass
Each grain a life moving to a new place
Fallen and found now within a fresh class
It sits, until forced on for the next race

Shifting sands signifying passing time
Moments too often taken for granted
