Haven't touched base for a while. Hope all is well with you and yours. Here is a write I thought you might like. I am not sure how to ahre it with others. Sam.
WHAT DAWNED THIS MORNING The shell of morning Has just cracked open The day?s sun yellow yoke Behind the horizon Yet to spill On my balcony overlooking The dark-water bayou In still silence I stand The chilled, damp morning air clings While I await a marvel That repeats each morn Filling my eyes with hope For encompassed in The dawning of certainty Imbedded in each day Opportunity is Anew reborn There?s a great white egret rookery Just upstream In cypress treetops dozens awaken Silent sentinels stand in stark contrast Against the dim, dark morning sky Waiting for beaconing bright rays Of distant light to break the horizon Before they take wing in flight One by one with great flaps They fling themselves on high To skim above treetop?s sheer outline Slow feathered darts Hurled by hunger?s incessant pain In a world where brief respite Is the only gain As they waft by my eyes behold A new dawning A realm ruled by need, not by greed Where for the living What?s needed is given A wondrous white winged world Whispering of our original fate Where opportunity is always there But rarely comes to those who wait Sam DeLoach Copyright © 2011

Aww...Shucks Jimmy... you read my words better than I could have even imagined and I thank you for the honor of just that.
Ilove it when you say my name...say my name bitch! ';)
Jimmy and Missy I can not remember having such a great time in too long a time. It was a blast. To have so many great poets at the same place at the same time was so cool. You did a knocked out job Jimmy as Missy did also. There is much I could say about you guys but I believe "genuine people" is the best way to describe you two. You guys are like best friends there is a feeling of "safeness" here at the machine, like you are among friends. Thank you guys so much for all your support and generosity, You guys are hands down the best supportive and interesting writing site on the web, bar none. Thanks again for continued support.
My plan is to do another one this weekend. It is supposed to snow like a bastard, so we shall see. Maybe a stack rhyme piece or something more lyric. I will send it if I do. Thank you for being so supportive.
Thank you, Jim. You and Missy had a great show. It was a lot of fun!
