Poetry Blog Post New Entry

power spoken through a particular body

Posted by donna snyder on May 6, 2009 at 5:14 PM

uncontrolled speech

something about Melek

the peacock angel

prophetic poetry as voice of the seer

areligious or perhaps without faith

a diagnosis of the culture or civilization

prophecy

power spoken through a particular body

a voice used to create enlightenment

the power of creation and destruction

a witness to the duality

the dualities

maybe even a televangelist

its all mysticism just the same to me

but there is a dictionary of angelology

angel speak the old poet called it

he explained Nostrodamus wrote quatrains

backward language comprehensible only in a mirror

or by a special sapience

he old poet instructed us it is time

praise Her in five songs

a vision of the future

the future written on your tongue

when you look into the mirror to read it

you lean in close learn it is written backward

the words out of desolation

new green growth

lean closer

growth new and green

out of desolation

the words written on my tongue

backwards revelations

lean closer

growth green new

desolation

out of words a strong brew

the spurt of the mother

a creamy desecration of the darkness

the milky ways lead through the chaos

l follow you a mirror held in my hand

behind me you lead

In front of me only my own face

the tongue and its secrets

the darkness can be a comfort

devils at the door

debris twisting in the wind

the dust outside

darkness subsides

the morning sun reflected in a broken mirror

the words are like vaporous signs

the devastation

the new growth green as a jungle

old ones hidden in the dirt

a low voice singing

greenness a blanket

the darkness a promise from the night

I think this originally had different line breaks, but today I don't have them with me.  it's more or less the same as that posted on my raw poetry blog at myspace.com/fronteriza.

I am hooked your your work....I love the role the mirror plays, and how you related your poem to it like a reflection...very very clever.
