THEMOTIONAL THURSDAY! - Desolation

Posted by Shadow Wolfe on February 7, 2013 at 1:55 PM

Firstly, I apologize for missing last week. I have sick family, sick myself and now I rescued a small 4 month old puppy that turned out to be a Border Collie and Australian Shepherd mix.... fun times! I was just zonked last week.

SO to pick up this week we have:

des·o·la·tion

/ˌdesəˈlāSHən/Noun

1.A state of complete emptiness or destruction.

2.Anguished misery or loneliness.

Synonyms

devastation - havoc - ravage - destruction - solitude

Your photo inspirations are:

2

3

Poetry style today is:

EPITATH POEM

The epitaph is a note meant to appear on a tombstone. From the Greek, epitaph means “upon a tomb.” Since it has to fit on a tombstone, this note is usually brief and often rhymes. Some epitaphs are funny; most are serious. Most try to get the reader thinking about the subject of the tombstone.

IE:

Desolation closed in the windows

and your light will shine no more.

(for picture 3)

Now you try!!!

Lustrous life abandoned
A false safety
With arid heart she died alone.

I did all 3 .

Pic 1
Time is ageless, unlike these ruins
Here lies Patience, Caring, Love.
Fear, Hate, Intolerance waged war on the dwelling Druids.
Water now sits where they were executed.

pic 2
Fire raged this once beautiful land
leaving turmoil and dust
after he flicked the cigarette from his hand.

Pic 3
Silence lingers after decades of mourning.
A child missing through the window.
A family slaughtered in the morning.

Beneath the sun Beneath the stone
Beneath the summer warmed air
Asleep I lie in desolation
An apostle of despair
