Cage

Not far from the monkey's cage

Men become monster

Wearing cape and cowl

Chopping up wooden Indian

Hurling into the cosmic stew

Flesh grenade and invisible violence

Tough condom and glittering massacre

Wild boar and fierce salad

The tin plated calf

Fornicates with the part time virgin

Priestly processions

Scream from Babel

Muted by soft snow

“To lose is to win

To live means to di...

Not far from the Monkey's cage

I don't trust the walls

Or clean clothes

Or vapid phrases from Laundromats

The voices always come when I’m alone

Puncture wounds stab the web of time.

The smell of unread books virginal in their sincerity

Skeletal remains of a long dead wonder

From the mouth of Cronus

Few can see

It shimmers in and out of Plank's constant

While dogs bark in trailer parks

And Mothers cry...

The older woman

Posted by Oddpoet on February 19, 2011 at 9:04 AM Comments comments (0)

She calls me over to her lawn

She mistakes my smile for familiarity

My wave as convivial

She is wearing the red wig

The one that disguises the chemotherapy

That is killing her as much as the Cancer

Her husband died a few months back

I heard it was a horrible death

I wonder if it is the same Cancer they shared

Like smiles

Like Birthday cards

Like secrets only they knew

She tells me she is taking a...

Obscurity

Posted by Oddpoet on February 17, 2011 at 6:10 PM Comments comments (2)

I write in obscurity

Sometimes with blood

Most times

With cheap rack bought pens

Forging forgettable words

Shared with things to do lists

With doodles

With calendar entries

Ignoring the next cancer doctor appointment

Or Johnnies’ next shrink appointment

Little Johnnie spends too much time dreaming

Can’t have that

Not properly socialized they say

Everyone is eventually forgotten

The g...

Daron

Daron died on Saturday

Could have been Friday

Regardless

God Slammed fucked a big old fashion Hole

In the Earth

You know where they put dead people

No one understands it a bit

She was happy

Loved by all

Well adjusted

Except

Daron was a  fourteen year old suicide

And we don't much like suicides

Rains on our happy parade

Makes us uncomfortable

Makes us think

Arise and flow my tears

Posted by Oddpoet on November 9, 2010 at 4:23 PM Comments comments (0)

Arise

And flow my tears

Wash Lepers clean

Sooth the lunatic

Give madmen speech

Feed the seeds

That would give birth

To distant tomorrows

Anoint sinners

Paint truth

Where none exists

Cause swords to rust

That would shed the blood of innocence

Dim the glint of Gold

So men’s hearts see its falseness

Extinguish the fires of hatred

Take thy appointed path

Carve beauty into desolate landscap...

~Adult~Sacrilegious~ Of God, Gods, Toothpaste and Deodorants

Posted by Oddpoet on November 4, 2010 at 2:55 PM Comments comments (5)

Ever go to the supermarket to buy toothpaste and you're confronted with about 100 choices? If you're like me it's like, “What the fuck! why you doing this to me?” I hate making decisions. And don't get me started on deodorants.

Deities are like that, you got thousand of choices and they've been around longer than toothpaste or deodorants. Ya got your monotheists, polytheist, ya got Gods as celestial objects, nature, inanimate objects, ...

The Chalice

Posted by Oddpoet on October 26, 2010 at 6:33 PM Comments comments (3)

Would you drink from this plain chalice I offer?

Neither jewel encrusted

Nor layered in precious metal

Did not Guinevere taste from it?

Arwen?

I do not come as mendicant

I come as one who would know you

Would you drink?

Would you know me?

Peel the layers

Of falseness

Into my heart?

I wish to taste you

Savor your essence

This world can no longer contain my hunger

My desire

Children: a sociological perspective (The Role of Children in today’s social milieu)

As many of my avid and often rabid readers know I am an “ist” meaning, of course, I am anything ending in “Ist”.  Allow me to don my Sociologist cap and explore today’s topic. Children.

Let’s jump to it, okay? I fucking hate kids!  There I said it.  I can hear the entire conglomeration of Women’s groups di...
