I sit staring at my alarm clock

Drowning in this cup of coffee

Letting it waken those memories

The screams and pain dancing along

With the words and finding all

Tonight, I hung brightly colored stars in the air.

The hope and music for all tomorrows

hanging within their brilliance.

I danced under those stars alone,

skirts swishing and swirling with the funky

beats of tomorrows.

Then the sun went down, and I waited.

The glow on the horizon did not appear.

Instead magnificent breezes traveled

quickly inside an...

Harold Norse inspired me a while back when Cutter introduced me to the wonderful poet in his Firday Famous Poet Feature.. I put my won twist on the journey.. I am not sure Harold would approve, but I never look for approval, just a release for my soul-filled ink.

My feet found hallowed ground and I paused.

Alone...

When I am alone

I find myself following traces of your fingerprints

over the shadows of my skin.

My mind wanders the path you and I travel and

stops to smell each rose, budding new ones or wilted

Alone, I feed on each pollen scented raindrop

marked by your sweet breath.

Alone I am cast in dark nothingness wi...

You know those strands of time in the moonweaver's songs?

I think I may have fallen deeply into the bottom of yours.

I hear melodies riddled with shotgun blasts

and see worn-out shoes with soles long past

Brambles thicker than giant Sequoia trunks

and empty beds with rust-stained bunks

Her eyes are yours, and she cries each each night

Curled in the hammock of your tears.

VIbrations rattle my windo...

It is more than pining for that which I do not possess.

It is the sparkle in my eyes and the upturn of my lips

when I wake each morning and as I lay my head on the pillow each night.

It is the deep burning within,

Beyond that which the quenching

of passionate sharing can fulfill..

Tracing the metallic tang draining with each minute breath,

the guests here can see it all clearly

Blackened sweat pouring through denial’s cloak

Don’t slow down, for no harbor will be found now

The fires which used to blind the moon are now fading

into lies built steadily inside the ticking clock

Calibrated Chaos...

Calibrated Chaos

The thunder rumbles through me

Beating a funeral dirge inside

It is like trying to convince myself

I am living as whole as possible.

Still are the marsh grasses in the sullen, warm breeze.

Sad are the lullabies the red-headed sparrows sing.

The sun sets slowly upon a hill of eternal magic

And the rain slants into my skin as it begins a

journey, trespassing upon my large teardrops.
