The Breakthrough By Ms. Ness

I've been writing poetry for 13 years, but I have never experienced a riveting breakthrough in my works or in my life itself like I have after turning 21 years old. This book is the beginning of many examples ...

Soul Mother

I wonder how I'd react as a fetus sheltered in your womb

Was I silently painting mental pictures of you?

Trying to align what my eyes would one day see
As I exit one home and into your arms entry

Untitled [Free Flow]

Sometimes I wonder how things are going to be

And not a second goes by where I don't

Close my eyes just to imagine the way you'd

Look at me

Would you look at me lovingly as stated in your poetry?

Hold your mic up and look right at me?

Orphan Like Symphony

Note: this piece won't be what you may be thinking...highly metaphorical, strictly beautiful.  Enjoy!

“Daddy daddy don’t leave

I’ll do anything to keep you

Right here with me

Can’t you see how much I love you?

Daddy, don’t leave me…

I need you here right by my side

To hold on each and every night

I want you…

Trembling in within my body's lowering tempertature

And the storm of thoughts in my mind

I know somewhere through those clouds I'll find my innocense

For upon these grounds

Like this sand I walk on

I lose time...quick

And honestly

I Miss You [pt.1]

Posted by Ms. Ness on April 14, 2009 at 9:27 PM Comments comments (3)

It’s now about
6 years worth of solace
I still struggle in fights
And I keep wondering how life would be if you were still in my life
I’m happy that you reside up there
Up with my other angels hearing me loud and clear
Up with my boy Jayden whom I adopted as my own

But sometimes I wish I could feel you here…
At home
Home…
That place known as my heart
I know you’ve seen its been a rough year for me and so much has...

Many times due to my solace I wonder how it’d be
To know that something more powerful is growing inside of me

A product of we
A product of love conquering temporary lust
A product of certainty
A product of US

And at times I hold my own belly in my dreams
Feeling the kicks of what 1 day will be
The walking existence of my heart on Earth
Nurturing from mommy and daddy’s love
For all that its worth
Their smile would reflect our...

Dollhouse (A Cerebral Chaos)

Posted by Ms. Ness on April 7, 2009 at 3:07 PM Comments comments (3)

I remember when mommy would look into my eyes
Pick up my chin and kiss the sides
Of every scrape and wound that existed from innocent play
From dreams and inhibitions during my dollhouse days

She?d say
?Baby, don?t you ever let no man do you wrong
You are the most beautiful sonnet of my life?s song
You are a beauty
An angel
A porcelain masterpiece
Make sure just like your heart
Every piece of you, remains?
Complete.?
